It is reported that VST plugin works with Reaper after removing underscore from lib name. The plugin is tested with Equalizer APO v1.2 x64 (open source system-wide equalizer for Windows) and tested with pulse audio on arch linux. I'm not associated with the original work in any way and have only superficial understanding of it. Equalizer APO is the engine that’s going to do all the heavy equalizing work. While Peace is a GUI (Graphical User Interface) used to easily configure everything with a few mouse-clicks. Both tools are open-source and completely free to use. Has a very good Parametric EQ. One thing I don’t like is, it doesn’t support AU/VST plugins. SoundSource (Mac) - $35 This gives you system wide EQ on Mac. It gives you the option to apply separate EQ for different apps like Chrome, Safari, iTunes, VLC etc. Doesn’t have a native Parametric EQ. But it does support AU/VST plugins. Equalizer Apo Vst Plugins Plugin

My favorite three picks from the list would be SonEQ for creative purposes, ReaEQ for high precision tasks, and EasyQ for all-around use. I also like BootEQ a lot, it’s great for coloring, and IIEQ which is another fantastic plugin and slowly becoming my next go-to EQ.

SonEQ is a fantastic freeware equalizer developed by Sonimus. I use it all the time for subtle sound enhancements, as well as for cleaning the low end of individual tracks with its fantastic low pass filter section. One of the finest freeware equalizers out there, highly recommended for use on bass guitars and kick drums.
SlickEQ is the latest addition to this list. It was released by the indie developer superstar team consisting of Tokyo Dawn Labs and Variety Of Sound, along with Vladislav Goncharov (the man behind Limiter6). SlickEQ is a highly flexible EQ which can quickly transform between being surgically clean and extremely vintage sounding.
